Medusa

Medusa, for a Latin project. We had to do three characters from classical mythology who weren't any of the twelve Olympians. I was originally going to do Ladon here, but I decided there was no way I was doing a hundred heads, and everyone was doing ugly Medusae and I wanted a pretty one. The snakes were fun, and took nearly a whole period just to draw out. The transparent nature of Medusa's clothing inspired comments concerning how it must have actually been her feminine assets that turned people to stone, as she seems to be drawing attention to them.
